Livelihood is an environmental organization that plants a tree in the City of Houston for every product sold. Our brand objective was to design and build an organization that was youthful, inclusive, inspiring, and community-oriented, but most of all, provided a better livelihood.

When we started working together, Livelihood was merely an idea. Our brand challenge was to help build a community, brand, and organization from the ground up, from how it would function and work, to how it would provide value and memorable brand experience.

BRAND Solution

We set out to design a complete brand identity that evoked Livelihood's brand attributes and inspired Houston's youth to take action. Young Houstonians want to make the world a better place, but often they do not know where to begin. We had to make it easy for them to help and be a part of building a better future.

We chose the name because it was clear from the onset that the goal was to provide a better Livelihood for all. The brand elements around the name are intended to create a feeling of being immersed in Houston's piney woods and represent how planting urban forests are a great way to create a better Livelihood. Lastly, we designed a website that was easy to navigate and spoke to the target demographic.
